Please join Guida in celebrating Central Valley area Party Chief, Allyn Kruse, LSIT, for his ten-year work anniversary!
Since joining the Guida family, Allyn has grown from an Apprentice to a Party Chief, contributing to the success of the firm through his work on an array of projects, spanning from The Colorado River to Fresno. He has established a reputation of being a genuine, kind, thoughtful, and dedicated member of the Guida team and we are thankful for his contributions to the firm.
Guida’s Central Valley Area Manager, Rick Joyner, PE, PLS had the following sentiments to share about his time working with Allyn.
“I have worked with Allyn for almost two years since joining the Guida family. I have found Allyn a pleasure to work with. He is conscientious and cares about our clients and his team. Allyn is willing to go the extra mile for our clients and wants to deliver the best product that he can.”
Prior to becoming a surveyor, Allyn owned and operated a pizza business in San Bernardino for twenty-five years. At the age of 50, he decided he was ready for a career change, so he sought the advice of a friend who happened to be a professional land surveyor. Allyn’s friend introduced him to the industry. As a lover of math, the outdoors, and problem solving, Allyn’s decision to make a transition to land surveying came naturally.
Allyn truly loves the work that he does each day and shared that his only wish is that he had found surveying at an earlier age. He is grateful to have a career he is passionate about, and that compliments his natural skillset at Guida, where he feels completely at home.
During his time at Guida, Allyn has worked on a variety of PG&E projects, which he has thoroughly enjoyed. His work on PG&E’s projects to replace PLS-3 and PLS-4 (Pressure Limiting Station), as well as the current upgrades taking place at Topock and Hinkley compressor stations, are personal favorites of his. Allyn has enjoyed these projects because he appreciates working on long-term projects and as-builds, where he can witness the progression of a project and see the work come to fruition.
In the future, Allyn has plans to continue his professional development by working towards becoming a Professional Land Surveyor and we have no doubt he will reach his goal!
Thank you for your hard work and dedication to our success at Guida over these past ten years, Allyn! We are so proud to have you on the Guida team.
