San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), West Valley Connector Project, Phase 1
San Bernardino County Transportation Authority (SBCTA), West Valley Connector Project, Phase 1
SBCTA, along with the public transit operator Omnitrans, are implementing Phase 1 of the West Valley Connector Project, a 100% zero-emission Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system, which will link the City of Pomona in Los Angeles County with the cities of Montclair, Ontario, and Rancho Cucamonga in San Bernardino County, California. The Project is a 19-mile corridor from downtown Pomona to Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. The goals of the project are to provide enhanced transit service in the most heavily traveled corridor in Omnitrans’ service area and to provide multimodal connectivity with Omnitrans’ local bus services, two Metrolink stations (San Bernardino and Riverside), and neighboring transit services (Foothill Transit, Riverside Transit, and Metro) for faster travel to and from the Ontario International Airport.
As a subconsultant to the Construction Contractor, Guida is providing QA/QC land surveying and mapping services for this project. Guida’s services on the project include, but are not limited to, verifying project layout and controls, performing survey checks of line and grade, construction staking, benchmark surveys, spot checking reference points, and verifying location and preservation of the critical baseline survey points prior to and after construction.
