City of Lake Elsinore, Temescal Canyon Bridge over Temescal Wash Replacement
Guida provided surveying and topographic mapping services for the final design phase for a new 4-lane, 98-foot-wide, 375-foot-long bridge at the new alignment, along the realigned portion of existing Temescal Canyon Road. The bridge includes approximately 200 feet of the roadway northwest and southeast of the new bridge, along with the required wash grading and Wash Plant Restoration, utilizes Highway Bridge Program (HBP) and local funding. The remaining 649 feet of the roadway from 200 feet northwest of the bridge to existing 2-lane Temescal Canyon Road, which is also part of the scope of work, will be constructed using local transportation funds.
Guida’s scope of work included performing topographic surveys and providing cross-sections every 100 feet in the channel that covers the proposed wash grading, roadway realignment and connection points to existing Temescal Canyon Roadway. Guida’s scope also included updating the survey to cover the recently graded areas westerly of Lake Street, for the purpose of more accurate HEC-RAS modeling; additional topography to support the design of the channel grading, slope protection, and storm drain facilities; providing an updated utility base plan based on information provided by the utility coordination sub-consultant; and filing corner records and/or record of survey as required.
