Capistrano Unified School District, On-Call Surveying Services

The Capistrano Unified School District selected Guida to provide on-call surveying services for a variety of projects. Projects have included horizontal and vertical control surveys, aerial photogrammetric mapping, and topographic design surveys for various elementary, middle and high schools throughout the district. Currently, Guida is providing surveying and mapping services at Capo Valley High School and Del Obispo Elementary School. The following describes some of the work that was completed under this on-call services contract.

Aliso Niguel High School, Dana Hills, San Juan Hills High School, San Clemente High School and Tesoro High School:
Guida established horizontal and vertical survey controls based on the California Coordinate System and local city/county benchmarks necessary to complete the field survey. Field surveys were performed to collect the appropriate topographic features for the visible improvements including curb and gutters, flowlines, building corners, finished floor, thresholds, and areas under tree canopies, existing site walls and fences; ADA ramps, stairs, railings, and landings, existing trees, and surface visible utilities and other topographic features.

Ambuehl, Bergeson, Crown Valley, Ladera Ranch, Palisades, and Verde Park/Ole Hanson Elementary Schools, Ladera Ranch, Newhart, and Shore Cliffs Middle Schools:
Guida established horizontal and vertical survey controls based on the California Coordinate System and local city/county benchmarks necessary to complete the field survey. Topographic design surveys were performed to collect specific topographic information to support the school district’s ADA improvement projects within each elementary school. Field surveys were performed during school hours as well as nights and weekends to accommodate the school schedules and needs of the project. All field personnel working at each campus went through background checks as required by the school district.
