Guida Surveying, Inc. (Guida) received the exciting news that our President and Founder, Ralph W. Guida, IV, was unanimously selected by his colleagues into the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) College of Fellows, 2021. This honor is granted to a distinguished class of engineering and land surveying professionals, in recognition of their contributions to the Council and the profession.
During his involvement with ACEC, Ralph has utilized his various leadership positions as a forum for advocacy within the land surveying profession, a career that has become a lifelong passion. Over the years, these leadership roles have included serving as Orange County Chapter President, California State President, Political Action Committee (at both State and national levels), Coalition of Professional Surveyors as Chair and Steering Committee member, Chair for National Coalition, and various other committees. In these roles, he has been heavily involved with fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns, as well as speaking with key legislators while serving on political action committees, both within California and across the United States. Additional contributions include:
- Oversight of the 2018 California Strategic Summit, which yielded a considerable amount of sponsorship dollars, contributions to scholarship funds, and a strong financial position for the 2019 California Strategic Summit.
- Commitment and dedication to help raise critical funds and awareness as part of the successful effort to defeat California Proposition 6 – the Gas Tax Recall.
- Educating individuals on how their contributions to Political Action Committees are spent to promote and strengthen A&E businesses.
Ralph will be formally recognized for this exemplary accomplishment during ACEC’s annual Fall Conference Awards Luncheon scheduled for October 2021. The entire Guida team proudly congratulates Ralph on this important milestone.
