Although this week has focused on the current COVID-19 pandemic, we did not want to miss the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate National Surveyor’s Week!
National Surveyor’s Week is a week-long holiday dedicated to spreading awareness of the land surveying occupation and educating future generations about careers in the industry. Beginning on the third Sunday of March, this week is usually a time for us to interact with our community and share our love of our chosen profession with others. In accordance with guidance from government and public health authorities, this year we are challenging you to help us educate the worlds future surveyors by introducing your children to GPS related activities at home!
With most schools closed throughout the country, we know parents are struggling to find activities to keep their children entertained and learning through this tough time. Fortunately, www.beasurveyor.com has a full list of pre-planned GPS lessons and activities for every age range. The best part? Many of the activities only require basic household items such as tape and string so no need to brave the store!
Land Surveying is a great career path for many, and it is never too early to introduce your child to the potential of a career in the industry. We hope these activities inspire your child to explore the world around them and pursue a career that allows them to do the same!
